The White House announced that the President met with his advisers at 8 a.m. for about 45 minutes. The recent developments in Iran were thoroughly analyzed. The President and his advisers felt that if the hostages were transferred to ment control, this would be a step. They also viewed favorably the prospect of a role for the Algerians in the situation.
November 5
The President left the White House for a stay at Camp David, Md.
