Nomination of Ronald E. Robertson To Be General Counsel of the Department of Health and Human Services
The President today announced his intention to nominate Ronald E. Robertson to be General Counsel of the Department of Health and Human Services. He would succeed Juan A. del Real.
He recently served as chief counsel for the Reagan-Bush '84 Committee. Previously he was a partner in the law firm of Musick, Peeler & Garrett in Los Angeles, CA. He was a professor of law at Pepperdine University (1978-1981) and at Mississippi College (1975-1978). He was vice president and general counsel of Amcord, Inc. (formerly American Cement Corp.), in 1971-1975.
Mr. Robertson graduated from California State University at Los Angeles (B.S., 1961) and the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law (J.D., 1964). He is married, has two children, and resides in Vienna, VA. He was born November 8, 1935, in Long Beach, CA.
