Nomination of Neal B. Freeman To Be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Communications Satellite Corporation

The President today announced his intention to nominate Neal B. Freeman to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Communications Satellite Corporation until the date of the annual meeting of the Corporation in 1985. He would succeed Justin Dart.

Mr. Freeman is president of Jefferson Communications, Inc., in Reston, Va. He is also executive producer of "American Interests" (public television series). He has served as contributing editor for "The Advocates" (public television series) in 1977-1979 and as Washington editor for "National Review" in 1978-1981. Prior to founding Jefferson Communications in 1976, he was with the Hearst Corp. in New York. He was a director of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in 1972-1975.

He graduated from Yale University (B.S., 1962). He is married, has three children, and resides in Vienna, Va. He was born July 5, 1940, in New York City.
