President George W. Bush today announced his intention to appoint two individuals and designate one individual to serve in his Administration.
The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the United States Commission on Civil Rights:
Abigail Thernstrom, of Massachusetts, for the remainder of a six-year term expiring 12/05/13 and upon appointment re-designate Vice Chairperson;
Peter N. Kirsanow, of Ohio, for the remainder of a six-year term expiring 11/29/13.
