Statement by the Press Secretary on H.J. Res. 72, H.R. 2419, and H.R. 4326

The President has signed the following bills into law:

H.J. Res. 72, which provides FY 2006 appropriations for continuing projects and activities of the Federal Government through Saturday, December 17, 2005.

H.R. 2419, "Energy and Water Development Appropriations Act, 2006," which provides FY 2006 appropriations for the Department of Energy, the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation, Army Corps of Engineers, and other agencies.

H.R. 4326, which authorizes the Secretary of the Navy to enter into a contract for the nuclear refueling and complex overhaul of the U.S.S. Carl Vinson (CVN-70).
