President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual, designate two individuals, and appoint eight individuals to serve in his Administration.
The President intends to designate Richard A. Hertling, of New York, to be Acting Assistant Attorney General (Legislative Affairs).
The President intends to designate Douglas Menarchik, of Texas, to be Acting Assistant Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (Europe and Eurasia).
The President intends to nominate William Herbert Heyman, of New York, to be a Director of the Board of Directors of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (Securities Industry).
The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities:
Rebecca Turner Gonzales, of Texas
Adele C. Hall, of Kansas
Barbara Jacobs Mitnick, of New Jersey
Marc I. Stern, of California
The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board:
Robert H. Bruininks, of Minnesota
John S. Butler, of Texas
Shirley M. Green, of Texas
Kathryn Hubbard, of Indiana
