President George W. Bush today announced that he has named three individuals to serve in his Administration.
The President has named Jon C. Brause to be Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Relief, Stabilization, and Development at the National Security Council. Mr. Brause recently served as Director of the Office of Program, Policy and Management at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Prior to this, he served as Director of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response at the National Security Council. Mr. Brause received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis, and his master's degree from National Defense University.
The President has named Barrett Karr to be Deputy Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs. Ms. Karr recently served as Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs. Prior to this, she served as Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Kay Granger. Earlier in her career, she served as Legislative Director for Congresswoman Granger. Ms. Karr received her bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University and her master's degree from George Washington University.
The President has named Luis A. Reyes to be Deputy Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel. Mr. Reyes recently served as Special Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel. Prior to this, Mr. Reyes served as Chief of Staff to the Associate Attorney General and Deputy Associate Attorney General at the Department of Justice. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. Mr. Reyes received his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his JD from the University of Texas School of Law.
