President George W. Bush today announced his intention to appoint three individuals and that he has designated one individual to serve in his Administration.
The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad:
Rachmiel Liberman, of Massachusetts, (Speaker's Representative), for the remainder of a three-year term expiring 08/02/11;
Harley Lippman, of New York, (Speaker's Representative), for the remainder of a three-year term expiring 08/09/11;
Jonathan J. Rikoon, of New York, (Senate Representative), for the remainder of a three-year term expiring 08/09/10.
The President has designated Daniel Rosenblum, of Maryland, to be Support for East European Democracy (SEED) Program Coordinator and Coordinator for Overall Assistance and Economic Cooperation Strategy for the Independent States of the Former Soviet Union at the Department of State.
