Press Release - President Donald J. Trump Announces Intent to Nominate and Appoint Personnel to Key Administration Posts
President Donald J. Trump today announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key position in his Administration:
Richard K. Bell of Pennsylvania, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Cote D'Ivoire.
Mr. Bell, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, class of Counselor, currently serves as Charge d'Affaires of the American Embassy, N'Djamena, Chad. Previous assignments include as foreign policy advisor to the United States Africa Command, Stuttgart, Germany, Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy, Niamey, Niger, and head of the Political and Economic Affairs Section of the United States Embassy Copenhagen, Denmark. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bell was Team Leader of the Provincial Reconstruction Team, Salahaddin, Iraq, and the regional coordinator for Northeast Iraq and provincial reconstruction team leader, Kirkuk, Iraq. Mr. Bell earned his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and M.S. from Boston University's International Program at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beersheva, Israel. He received the Joint Meritorious Civilian Service Award from the Department of Defense and numerous State Department awards. Mr. Bell speaks French and Arabic.

Charles M. Wooley of Ohio, to be a Commissioner (Government Representative) of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission.
