Readout of Vice President Kamala Harris's Meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Vice President Kamala Harris met today with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the margins of the North American Leaders Summit. They discussed strengthening economic ties between our two countries and the importance of the U.S.-Canada partnership. They agreed to continue to work together on Afghan refugee resettlement and discussed a number of global challenges including Haiti and Ethiopia. The Vice President and Prime Minister Trudeau confirmed their commitment to building strong democracies at home and abroad.
