Executive Order 7351—Authorizing the Appointment of Mrs. Lucille Coy Dailey to a Position in the Classified Civil Service Without Regard to the Civil Service Rules

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth of subdivision SECOND of section 2 of the Civil Service Act of January 16, 1883 (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that Mrs. Lucille Coy Dailey may be appointed to a position in the classified civil service of the Government without compliance with the requirements of the Civil Service Rules.

Mrs. Dailey is the widow of Ernest E. Dailey, radioman, first class, United States Navy, who lost his fife in the U.S.S. Macon disaster on February 12, 1935. Upon her husband's death Mrs. Dailey was left without adequate means of continued support.
