Executive Order 6950—Extension of Period of Eligibility for Appointment as Officers in the Foreign Service

Notwithstanding the provisions of article I, paragraph 3, section (h) of Consular Regulations, 1896, as amended by Executive Order No. 5642, of June 8, 1931, the period of eligibility of those candidates for appointment as Foreign Service officers whose names were on the eligible list on March 20, 1934, is hereby extended one year and a half from the date on which their eligibility for appointment would otherwise expire.
