Executive Order 7619—Authorizing the Appointment of J. V. Taylor to the Position of Senior Soil Conservationist in the Soil Conservation Service, Department of Agriculture, Without Regard to the Civil Service Rules

May 20, 1937

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth of subdivision SECOND of section 2 of the Civil Service Act of January 16, 1883 (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that J. V. Taylor may be appointed to a position as Senior Soil Conservationist in the Soil Conservation Service, Department of Agriculture, without compliance with the requirements of the civil service rules and without being accorded a classified status.

This order is recommended by the Secretary of Agriculture, who states that Mr. Taylor's appointment will be in the interest of the service.
