DENVER—Bennet for America today announced that Brian Peters will serve as Iowa State Director. Michael Bennet will travel to Iowa this weekend and speak at the Iowa Democratic Party's Hall of Fame Celebration. This will be his sixth trip to the state this year.
"Brian has worked extensively throughout the Midwest and brings great experience building strong grassroots movements to our team," said Bennet for America spokesperson Shannon Beckham. "We are so excited to have him on board to help make sure every Iowan gets to know Michael and how he is fighting to build opportunity for every American."
Brian most recently managed Liz Watson's campaign for Indiana's 9th Congressional District. Brian's dedication to helping Democrats in traditionally conservative areas has taken him from Arkansas to Michigan, as well as stints with BerlinRosen and The Baughman Company. Brian is a graduate of Ohio University.
Michael is running for president to build opportunity for every American and restore integrity to our government. Michael represents the State of Colorado in the Senate, but he hasn't spent a lifetime in politics. He turned around failing businesses in the private sector and improved outcomes for kids as superintendent of the Denver Public Schools - a district with 85,000 students and a $1.3 billion budget. He has won historically tough elections and has the experience needed to beat Donald Trump.
