POTUS greeted people in the rope line for several minutes.

He snapped a selfie with a young girl in a wheel chair.

Pool walked away while he was still greeting at 11:10.

He posed for a photo with law enforcement on a bright sunny day.

He boarded smaller AF1 using its available forward stairs. There was a slight stumble on the way up.

Boarding.

Correx on arrival time: that was about 11:05.

From White House Official: A different aircraft will be utilized today, due to a maintenance issue on the VC-25 plane that was identified during a routine pre-flight inspection.

Travel pool 4 - landed

AF1 was wheels down 11:53.

Mike Donilon came down the back stairs and entered the Beast before potus came down.

POTUS walked down the stairs at 12:15 after a delay. He descended the stairs and headed straight for the beast.

That move ignored his greeters who were standing about 15 feet to his left. Something got his attention before he got in, and potus quickly turned around to greet the senator and mayor.

He then chatted with them for several minutes.

He got in the beast at 12:18, putting on his shades in the way in.

Pool is getting into motorcade.

Motorcade drove by a few people with signs - "students first" and "la gente" - en route to the site.

Another had a Trump flag. One said President Vitamin 2024. It's a rural area so there is considerable distance between each one.

Closer to the site and a giant windmill were some Palestinian flags. "We demand a permanent ceasefire" and "resist Zionist occupation" were the signs.

There are windmill blades and horizontal steel tower components arrayed outside.

Motorcade arrived at 12:45.

Wifi and signal is poor.

Travel pool 6 - factory tour, nuke joke

POTUS got a factory tour inside a large warehouse. As he got the tour he peppered his guides with questions.

"Why do you have to grind it?" he asked while speaking to a team of three.

There is a big Bidenomics banner in the background.

He asked questions about the size of windmill towers.

He spoke about a long blade. "I actually could hold the end of it."

Then he greeted Polis. "I always genuflect when I see the governor," he said.

"Corey watch out that entire sucker starts coming back towards you," he shouted out at one point to a worker.

While he was taking the tour workers started using power sanders of some sort on a huge panel of steel, with sparks visible in the shot.

This makes it hard to hear.

Then pool shifted to an area with giant rolls of steel. There are large US flags hanging inside the factory.

There is distant jazz music coming from a faraway corner.

Through piped audio we continued to hear his questions.

"Look, is this a weld you guys do here?"

"One more question. The sheets differ in length," Biden asked, prompting an answer about narrowing towers.

"Hey Nick" Biden told a worker. Then he appeared to make a joke about the nuclear football. "My marine carries that - it has a code to blow up the world," potus said.

"Eddie, I'm Joe" he said during one introduction.

Remarks starting soon.

The President is participating in a tour of CS Wind—the largest wind tower manufacturer in the world.

At the first tour stop, the President will receive a briefing of the steel sheet conveyer belt used to construct wind towers. At the second stop, the President will receive an additional briefing on the welding process for wind tower construction.

Travel pool 7 - remarks end

POTUS remarks began at 1:48 following introductions by Polis and Hickenlooper.

There was no signal in there so reports are coming in now.

There is "investing in America" and "Bidenomics" signage and a promoter onstage.

Event was live-streamed.

POTUS began by making an apology to the mayor for initially failing to greet him at the airport. "I ran right by," he said, saying he was running late.

He stopped speaking at 2:12.

Pool is in vans awaiting motorcade.

He said she is "safe in Egypt just across the border."

He said he spoke to the mother and father. 'Things are moving well.' Said she "should be home soon."

POTUS didn't respond to shouted questions about other American hostages.

WH pool report 2 — return to WH

The president's motorcade pulled into the South Lawn driveway at 2057 after an uneventful, 26-minute, 14-mile drive along the closed-off highways and roads. By the time the press vans came to a halt, he was already out of the Suburban and inside the White House.

Pool was therefore unable to ask him why he's still so old.

WH pool report 3 -- lid

At 2059 the White House press office declared a lid for the day.

The opportunity to serve as your In-Town Print Pooler this next to last day of November has once again brought a small bit of joy.

A la prochaine.
