Travel pool #1 VP trip to Munich

Air Force 2 landed in Munich at 10:51 am local time. Vpotus disembarked without overcoat on a sunny, mild day with the temperature at 51 degrees Fahrenheit.

She was given a red-carpet welcome, greeted on the tarmac by German and U.S. officials (listed below) and presented a giant heart-shaped cookie cake with the words "Welcome to Germany" on it.

We are now rolling to the hotel where she will be out of sight with staff much of the day preparing for her speech and meetings at the Munich Security Conference. She has no public events scheduled for today.

As Nadia mentioned, Vpotus visited the back of the plane just before takeoff from Andrews to distribute heart-shaped Valentine's Day cookies to staff, Secret Service and poolers and chatted off the record for a couple minutes.

Also spotted traveling on the plane were Jane Harman, Lorraine Voles and Dean Lieberman.

Upon arrival at Munich International Airport, the Vice President was greeted by H.E. Minister President Markus Soder, Bavaria, State Minister Dr. Florian Herrmann, Head of the State Chancellery, Bavaria, Ambassador Amy Gutmann, U.S. Ambassador to Germany and Timothy Liston, U.S. Consul General in Munich.
