Haley Campaign Press Release - 6 Months to Iowa: Haley Isn't Slowing Down

July 14, 2023

CHARLESTON, S.C. – This weekend marks six months until the Iowa caucuses, and presidential candidate Nikki Haley isn't slowing down. This week, Haley posted an impressive second-quarter fundraising haul and attended three events in the Hawkeye State, bringing Haley's Iowa event total to 27.

On Monday, Haley will speak at Christians United For Israel's (CUFI) Night to Honor Israel Dinner in Washington. She'll be back in Greenville, South Carolina on Thursday for a home state celebration.

Haley Calls Out John Kerry on China

New York Post: "Former United Nations ambassador and current Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley slammed Kerry for his reluctance to call Xi a dictator.

'In my book, wielding unchecked power, imprisoning your opposition, & committing genocide against your own citizens makes you a dictator,' Haley wrote in a tweet Thursday. 'But that's just me.'" (New York Post, 7/14/23)

Haley on Ukraine and NATO...

"The key is, there is no reason Ukraine should not be part of NATO. NATO has been a 70-year success story at keeping Russia out. They've been a 70-year success story, there's been no inner conflict between all of those countries. Ukraine has shown their military might, they've shown their power, and they've shown they would be a fantastic asset to the alliance. But more than that, Russia has never invaded a country that is part of NATO. They invaded Georgia; they invaded Moldova; they invaded Ukraine. Those were not countries that were part of NATO. This is when the alliance should have gotten together and said 'yes, we're going to bring Ukraine in,' because the way we end this war is for Russia to get out. That's it."

Haley on Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds...

"Kim Reynolds is the best governor in the country. You can look at her record. You can see it for yourself. The idea that he attacked her because he thinks she favors one candidate or not is silly. At the end of the day, Kim is smarter than that."
