As a Republican mayor in the Granite State, I've had the opportunity to sit down with nearly all the Republican presidential candidates.

In New Hampshire, we take this responsibility seriously and don't waste a single moment or exchange. We observe how candidates interact with their staff or the person behind the counter handing them a cup of coffee. Of all those sit-downs, town halls, phone calls, there is one candidate who left me hopeful about our country's future and confident in our ability to address the challenges we face — Nikki Haley.

Each year our country suffers more political dysfunction, more inaction, and an increasing number of threats. This dangerous combination is sowing fear and uncertainty, instead of inspiring us to reach our full potential. It doesn't have to be this way.

Nikki's honest and frank approach is refreshing. She's the leader with the chops and gravitas to reverse this downward spiral and deliver the change my constituents — especially young voters and working families — are craving.

Nikki inspires by talking about a strong America — an America that stands up to our enemies whomever they may be. An America that doesn't coddle criminals. An America that doesn't cave to dictators. An America that doesn't apologize for being strong.
