TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The DeSantis for President campaign today released its first television ad of the race. The 30-second spot highlights how Ron DeSantis' record of delivering results in Florida proves he is prepared to fill the leadership vacuum in Washington and usher in a Great American Comeback as President.

The ad will air on broadcast and cable television across Iowa starting Thursday, a state where the campaign's strong fundraising pace in the fourth quarter has allowed it to begin television advertising weeks earlier than originally planned. DeSantis' surprise ad buy in Iowa comes on the heels of Trump Super PAC MAGA Inc's move to drastically shift their strategy and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a new negative ad against DeSantis in Iowa despite announcing in August they were "pivoting to a general election posture toward paid media" – a sign that DeSantis has Trump on defense in the Hawkeye State.

"America needs a fighter who will take on the establishment class in Washington – both Republicans and Democrats – to lead and deliver results while others fail," said campaign manager James Uthmeier.
