Executive Order 8488—Authorizing the Appointment of Walter Kuhn to a Position as Guard in the Public Buildings Administration, Federal Works Agency, Without Regard to the Civil Service Rules

July 18, 1940

By virtue of the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth, subdivision SECOND, section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that Walter Kuhn may be appointed to a position as guard in the Public Buildings Administration, Federal Works Agency, without compliance with the requirements of the Civil Service Rules.
