Vice Presidential Pool Reports of July 11, 2024

M2 landed at JBA at 11:53 am.

VP walked out at 11:55 am. She chatted with a military official as she walked.

She went up the stairs at 11:56 am, waved and boarded AF2.

AF2 landed in Greensboro at 12:59 pm. VP came back for an OTR for 2 mins before takeoff.

VP deplaned at 1:12 pm. She was greeted by Gov Cooper, Chairman Skip Alston, and Mayor Nancy Vaughan.

Harris talked to them for a couple of minutes.

Motorcade rolling to event at 1:16 pm.

Motorcade arrived at James B. Dudley High School in Greensboro at 1:40 pm.

Harris started speaking at 2:23 pm. A minute into her remarks, a pro-Palestinian protester interrupted and was escorted out.

but sending some highlights:

"We always knew this election would be tough and the last few days has been a reminder that running for president is never easy — nor should it be. Well, one thing we know about our president is that he's a fighter."

"It's simple President Biden and I fight for the American people. Donald Trump does not."

She mentioned the ongoing NATO summit, giving credit to Biden for strengthening the organization.

Harris quoted Trump as saying, "Russia can do whatever the hell they want."

"And he wants to be President of the United States?," she said. "As Trump bows down to dictators, he makes America weak and that is disqualifying."

She gave similar comments on SCOTUS's immunity ruling, Project 2025 and abortion rights, as she has in the last few days.

"Our last line of defense is the ballot box."

Harris wrapped up at 2:43 pm.

Motorcade departed the event at around 2:55 pm. We arrived at airport at 3:18 pm. Harris boarded at 3:20 pm.

Per WH, there were 700 people at the event.
