Vice Presidential Pool Reports of September 5, 2024

VP Pool Note #1

Good morning from a sunny Joint Base Andrews. The VP is flying today to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — her second visit to the city this week.

Marine Two touched down at JBA at 11:39 ET.

VP Harris left the helicopter at 11:41 ET.

She was wearing blue denim jeans, a navy blazer, gold necklace and sunglasses.

She chatted to a military officer before boarding Air Force Two solo.

She did not respond to shouted questions from the press before boarding.

She came to the back of the plane for a 4-minute OTR with traveling press.

Wheels up soon.

VP Pool Note #2 — arrival in Pittsburgh

Air Force Two was wheels up at JBA at 11:57AM ET.

We landed at Pittsburgh International Airport at 12:36PM ET after an uneventful flight.

There were no further visitors to the press cabin. The plane’s televisions were tuned to MSNBC throughout the flight.

VP Harris walked off the plane solo and was greeted on the tarmac in Pittsburgh by US Senator John Fetterman and his wife, Gisele Fetterman. Senator Fetterman was wearing a brown, button-down, short-sleeved shirt, grey gym shorts and black sneakers.

VP Harris stood on her tiptoes to hug Senator Fetterman, who took a photo on a phone of the VP and Mrs Fetterman. The VP and Senator then spoke for several minutes before VP posed for a selfie with both Fettermans.

VP Harris then shook hands with a military officer (I have asked for a name) and they spoke for several more minutes.

VP waved to the assembled press but did not respond to shouted questions before entering her SUV.

The motorcade is now rolling to the next stop.

VP Pool Report #3 — arrival at RON

Motorcade arrived at VP’s RON in Pittsburgh at approximately 1:15PM ET.

Onlookers waved and took pictures of the motorcade as we drove past office buildings in downtown Pittsburgh.

We did not see VP exit her vehicle.

VP does not have any further events on her public schedule for today but I will let you know if that changes.
