Here's information the White House provided about the event participants---

Please find additional information regarding the participants of today’s event below. The event will be livestreamed at WhiteHouse.gov at 2:00 PM ET.

Attributable to a White House Official:

Mayor of Birmingham, Alabama, Randal Woodfin:

Mayor Woodfin will highlight several projects from President Biden and Vice President Harris’s Investing in America agenda that are growing the economy and creating opportunities for Birmingham families and communities.

Jackie Trapp, Muskego, WI:

Jackie Trapp is a retired schoolteacher living in Muskego, WI, with her husband Doug. She has an incurable but treatable blood cancer and takes the blood thinner Xarelto, which was one of the first ten drugs Medicare negotiated a lower price for in the first year of the program. With her current Medicare insurance, Jackie’s prescription drugs can cost her tens of thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket costs per year. Because of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Inflation Reduction Act, Jackie’s out of pocket prescription drug costs will be capped at $2,000 starting next year. Jackie will talk to the President about how his actions to lower prescription drug costs will give her and her family breathing room in their daily lives.

Chairwoman of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, Amelia Flores:

Chairwoman Flores will highlight infrastructure investments from President Biden and Vice President Harris’s Investing in America agenda that are delivering clean water and creating more opportunity for families and the Colorado River Indian Tribes community.

Cecilia Moy Yep, Philadelphia, PA:

Cecilia Moy Yep is a Philadelphia Chinatown resident. She was a widow and single mother when she learned that her community church and the school, Holy Redeemer, would be demolished for a federal highway project. Later her home would be taken via eminent domain for the Center City Commuter Rail Tunnel. She and hundreds of residents were eventually displaced, but Cecilia went on to help form the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation, a nonprofit that helped develop housing for low-income Philadelphians, seniors, and help small business owners. She never gave up on her dream of capping the dangerous Vine Street Expressway. Thanks to President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act and the Reconnecting Communities program, her dream will come true.
