Travel pool #1: Mar-a-Lago and rolling

Good morning and happy Sunday. It's a beautiful day in West Palm Beach.

Pool left the hold shortly after 7 a.m. and headed to Mar-a-Lago to hold.

We joined up with the motorcade at 8:52, catching a glimpse of potus wearing a white hat. We are rolling now.

An Associated Press reporter and photographer again tried to join the traveling crew pool this morning and were not allowed.

Travel pool #2: golf course and hold

The motorcade sped through mostly empty streets, passing a bicyclist and a woman in a lawn chair, then entered the golf course at 9 a.m. sharp.

We left the motorcade and are now holding again.

The AP has provided treats for the traveling press at the library.

Travel pool #3: leaving golf

He waved at the group assembled across from the entrance to the golf course. Perhaps 20 people were there, mixed between supporters and protesters. Many were waving flags, including American flags, flags with the image of POTUS on them, a pride flag, a giant flag reading "Trump: F*** Your Feelings," and a smaller one reading "F*** Donald Trump." We also spotted a life-sized POTUS doll. Protester signs: "Russian operatives in the White House," "Fight ignorance, not immigrants," "Putin's Puppet."

Note from earlier: A sharp-eyed photographer noticed the white hat POTUS was wearing when he left Mar-a-Lago had a flag stitched on the side with broad stripes and an eagle in the middle. Upon closer inspection and the help of a wrangler, it appears to be the state flag of Iowa. It looked like POTUS was still wearing it when he left.

Travel pool #4: back at Mar-a-Lago

We passed a few bystanders and bicycles on the way back to Mar-a-Lago, arriving back at 2:42 p.m.

Pool is now holding again.

Travel pool #5: leaving for DC

The motorcade left Mar-a-Lago at 5:24 p.m. and we caught another glimpse of POTUS as the Beast rode by. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz was seen in the motorcade.

We passed a large group of supporters and many bystanders holding their phones en route.

After the short drive we arrived at Air Force One. POTUS was quickly up the stairs, saluted, and entered the plane at 5:31.

Trump's father in law Viktor Knaus was seen boarding, along with Elon Musk and his son, X. Thanks to tv pooler for spotting this.

We are taxiing now. More to come.

Travel pool # 6: Landing

Air Force One landed at 7:25 p.m. following an uneventful flight. No officials visited while we were on board.

We're awaiting departure.

A couple of notes from earlier: Elon Musk's mother, Maye Musk, was also on board for the flight. X, Musk's son, came over and waved to us midway through.

Travel pool #7: Marine One and handoff

POTUS left Air Force One at 7:43 p.m., he gave the press his trademark raised fist and mouthed "thank you" but did not speak to us.

Elon Musk followed shortly thereafter carrying his son. They boarded Marine One and took off at 7:50.

Pool is gathering for South Lawn arrival

In town pool report #2

No news and no color (unless you count the reddened cheeks of frigid poolers).

Marine One touched down at 7:59. The president stepped off at 8:02. He looked over toward the pool, pumped his fist but was more interested in the warmth of the White House than the shouted questions. He was inside at 8:02.

Elon Musk, son atop his shoulders, was similarly non-responsive to questions and was inside the White House by 8:03.

Lid declared at 8:14.
